Job Title: Maintenance Technician – Storage Facilities Job Type: Full-time Reports To: Chief Operations Officer

Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of storage facility buildings, grounds, and equipment. This role ensures a clean, safe, and functional environment for customers and staff, supporting smooth daily operations and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections of units, buildings, and grounds for cleanliness, safety, and operational issues.
  • Repair and maintain doors, locks, gates, roll-up doors, lighting, fencing, and other facility infrastructure.
  • Paint, patch, and perform minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain HVAC systems, security cameras, alarms, and pest control measures.
  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly and document work performed.
  • Keep grounds clean and free of debris; mow, weed, and perform basic landscaping duties.
  • Ensure snow and ice removal during winter months (if applicable).
  • Assist with moving or removing abandoned items from vacant units.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, report needs or shortages.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies.


Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of general maintenance experience preferred (especially in property or facility management).
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Requires Travel between locations as needed (Puyallup, Tacoma, Lacey, Lake Chelan, Wenatchee, Spokane, Tri-Cities and Yakima.) Mileage and travel expenses paid.

Work Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend duties or emergency calls.


Job Description:
The Storage and Equipment Rental Representative will promote the Company's products and services by Renting and reserving storage rooms moving trucks and trailers, as well as selling boxes and packing supplies.
In addition, the successful candidate will complete a variety of daily store operations including but not limited to:
  • Resolving basic customer service issues
  • Accounts receivable (collections)
  • Inventory management (stocking shelves)
  • Minor facilities maintenance and cleaning
  • Daily walk-around reporting
  • Facility and equipment cleaning and safety checks
  • Organizing and filing paperwork/mail.
  • While performing the job duties the employee is required to occasionally work in inclement weather.
  • The employee will be required to lift up to 80 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and walk short distances.

Requirements:
  • Retail Customer Service Experience
  • 1+ years of industry experience with moving equipment rental and self-storage experience is a plus.
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate the motivational skills necessary to effectively achieve the revenue goals of the business.
  • Retail cash management
  • Proficiency with the Computer and navigating the Internet, and the ability to learn Internet-based POS applications required.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, stressful environment, where work duties are both indoors and out.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-start, work independently and problem solve.

Education & Other Requirements:
  • Verifiable high school diploma or GED required.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willing to consent to pre-employment criminal and driving background checks.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Work Locations:
Candidates will primarily work in Puyallup and Tacoma WA. Candidates can expect to be scheduled at more than one location during the workweek. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Also looking for Part-Time Customer Service Rep at our University District location in Spokane, WA for 2-3 days per week.


Pay and Schedule:
  • Pay: $18-20 per hour DOE
  • Benefits: Paid-Time Off
  • Shift: Day shift 8-10 hours
  • Work Location: In-person
